Dave Rees is a qualified Chartered Secretary as well as a Cost and Management Accountant and has been self-employed since 1980 in various businesses ranging from furniture retail to sugar farming to the motor trade as well as ship chandling. His introduction to commercial and industrial property as well as residential property was in 1993 when he invested into the Maxprop group of companies and was employed by them as joint Managing Director.

He subsequently left Maxprop to form a joint commercial and industrial property broking/development company with Herman Chalupsky, and has had many years experience in this field. After leaving the property business in the late nineties due to very high interest rates and lack of available tenants, Dave returned some four years later as a developer and after finding that the market was extremely buoyant decided to re-enter the broking world and during 2009 created Space Properties.

After ten years he went out on his own creating Factotone Pty Ltd t/a Price Properties. A highly respected agent in Johannesburg has recently joined as Director - Heini Loehrer, formally of Spire Properties.
